No, please join or renew in person at any ticket window at either park if you plan to visit within 48 hours. You will receive your membership card(s) and associated Guest Admission coupons immediately.  For online orders, our system requires 48 hours to process Guest Admission coupons.  For this reason, guests of members arriving within 48 hours of purchasing/renewing online will need to purchase admission to visit our parks.  Ticket windows are open every day of the year, including all holidays, from 9:00 a.m. until gates close.

Yes!  The person who uses the admission ticket may apply a 1-Day Pass or a 2-Visit Pass admission ticket toward the purchase of any qualifying membership for him- or herself.  Admission ticket must be presented in person at any ticket window at either park on the initial visit date.  Guests who are unable to do so on the initial visit date may bring the ticket to any ticket window at either park within 7 days of initial visit.  Not applicable to renewing current memberships or membership upgrades.  Applied tickets must be exchanged in person and therefore cannot be transacted over the phone.

The "best" method depends on how soon you plan to visit and how soon you wish to use your Guest Admission coupons.  We have four options:

When you purchase/renew in person, you will receive card(s) and Guest Admission coupons immediately.  Our ticket windows are open every day of the year, including all holidays, from 9 a.m. until gates close. 

When you purchase/renew over the phone, your card(s) and Guest Admission coupons will be available for pickup after one hour, if you choose to pickup in person.  If not, a temporary 30-day pass and Guest Admission coupons will be sent by email.  Your membership card will arrive in the mail approximately 4 - 6 weeks after your purchase.  If you do not have an email address, card(s) and Guest Admission coupons will arrive in the mail in approximately 4 - 6 weeks after your purchase.  As part of a system upgrade, renewing members may receive a new card.    

When you purchase/renew online, your card(s) and Guest Admission coupons will be available for pickup after 48 hours from the time of online purchase, if you choose to pickup in person.  If you plan to visit within 30 days, we recommend you stop by any ticket window at either park to purchase/renew in person and receive your membership card(s) and Guest Admission coupons immediately.   If your visit is more than a month away, your card(s) and Guest Admission coupons will arrive in the mail in approximately 4 - 6 weeks after your payment is received.  As part of a system upgrade, renewing members may receive a new card.

No, we do not offer a “family” membership.  Adults and children have separate memberships and pricing.  Children ages 3 – 17 are eligible only for our Koala Club membership.  All adult memberships are for individuals 18 years of age or older--no exceptions.  For adults, we offer a selection of membership options for one or two adults in the same household.  Please click on the MEMBERSHIP link at the top of this page to get started!

Donor Club Members (Keeper’s Club level and higher; member card has orange or blue stripe) receive unlimited complimentary access to both the Zoo’s Guided Bus Tour and the Kangaroo Express Bus.  Koala, Annual Pass and Diamond Club* members must purchase a ticket for the Guided Bus Tour and Kangaroo Express Bus at any ticket window.

Whenever possible, we take advantage of nonprofit postage rates.  Nonprofit mail can take a little longer to reach you, but it reduces expenses considerably.  Please allow 4 - 6 weeks for your membership card to reach you.  Adult membership cards are mailed separately from children’s membership cards and may arrive on different days.

Unused Guest Admission coupons issued in conjunction with the current membership term will be accepted through the current expiration date of the associated membership.  For example, a member's current coupons have a printed expiration date of 9/19/17 and their current membership term expires on 11/30/17.  Their unused Guest Admission coupons will be accepted through 11/30/17.  (Memberships always expire on the last day of the month, regardless of the day you joined.)

Currently, the expiration date printed on member Guest Admission coupons is always 365 days from the date the coupon is printed and may not always match the associated membership's expiration date.  For example, when members renew early or purchase prior to the last day of a month, this results in the expiration date printed on the Guest Admission coupons not matching the actual expiration date of the associated membership.   A change to resolve this and match printed coupon expiration dates to membership expiration dates will be in place by late 2017.
