Mr. Myers serves as the executive leader for San Diego Zoo Global. In this role, he is responsible for setting policy and maintaining the organization’s role as a leader in conservation and animal care.

 

Shawn Dixon
Chief Operating Officer, San Diego Zoo Global

As Chief Operating Officer of San Diego Zoo Global, Mr. Dixon serves with the President/CEO in overseeing all aspects of San Diego Zoo Global.

 

Paula Brock
Chief Financial Officer, San Diego Zoo Global

As Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Brock oversees the financial management of the organization.

 

Wendy Bulger
General Counsel, San Diego Zoo Global

As General Counsel, Ms. Bulger counsels the CEO, executive team, and management on a broad range of legal issues, manages litigation, and is responsible for oversight of the organization’s risk management and compliance functions. 

 

Dwight Scott
Director, San Diego Zoo

As Director of the San Diego Zoo, Mr. Scott is responsible for the overall operation of the 100-acre zoo, which is located in Balboa Park just north of downtown San Diego.  He oversees daily operations of all departments, including admission, transportation, education, food service, retail, facilities, animal care, veterinary services, horticulture, special events, and construction and maintenance.

 

Lisa Peterson
Director, San Diego Zoo Safari Park

As Director of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Ms. Peterson is responsible for the overall operation of this 1,800-acre wildlife preserve located near Escondido. She oversees the administration of all departments and operations, construction and maintenance, animal services, veterinary services, horticulture, and special events. 

 

Allison Alberts, Ph.D.
Chief Conservation and Research Officer, San Diego Zoo Global

Dr. Alberts serves as Chief Conservation and Research Officer at San Diego Zoo Global. In this role, she is responsible for conservation science activities at the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research and field sites worldwide. She has participated in conservation programs for endangered iguanas in Costa Rica, Cuba, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Fiji, as well as working with sea turtles, desert tortoises, and native California lizards and frogs. Her work has focused on the development of innovative techniques for restoring critically endangered species to the wild. Dr. Alberts is an adjunct faculty member at San Diego State University and has authored more than 120 articles and 3 books. Her work has been recognized by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Science Foundation, American Association of Museums, and Association of Zoos and Aquariums. She is co-founder of the IUCN Iguana Specialist Group and past president of the International Iguana Foundation, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund.

 

Robert J. Wiese, Ph.D.
Chief Life Sciences Officer, San Diego Zoo Global

Dr. Wiese serves San Diego Zoo Global as the Chief Life Sciences Officer. In this role he is responsible for a variety of administrative, operational, and budgetary activities involving management of the organization's entire animal and plant collection.

 

Nadine Lamberski, DVM, DACZM, DECZM (ZHM)
Chief Animal Health Officer, San Diego Zoo Global

Dr. Lamberski serves San Diego Zoo Global as Chief Animal Health Officer, overseeing the departments of Veterinary Services and Nutritional Services for both the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. In her role, Dr. Lamberski supervises a staff of veterinarians, nutritionists, technicians, and hospital keepers seeing to the health and well being of over 7,000 animals.

 

Aida Rosa
Chief Human Resources Officer, San Diego Zoo Global

Ms. Rosa serves San Diego Zoo Global as the Chief Human Resources Officer. In her role, she manages a staff of over 18 employees who fulfill employment needs for San Diego Zoo Global, develop benefits packages for its nearly 3,000 employees, and handle organizational and strategic challenges that occur in a large, diverse workplace.

 

Ted Molter
Chief Marketing Officer, San Diego Zoo Global

Mr. Molter is the Chief Marketing Officer for San Diego Zoo Global, responsible for public relations, creative services, advertising and design, website, publications, interpretation, sales, licensing and partnership marketing activities that support the World-Famous San Diego Zoo, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, and the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research.

 

Mervyn Govender
Chief Information Officer, San Diego Zoo Global

As Chief Information Officer, Mr. Govender is responsible for directing all facets of the organization’s information and communications systems, as well as providing strategic direction for deploying new and emerging technologies.

 

David Wu
Chief Development and Membership Officer, San Diego Zoo Global, 
President, The Foundation of San Diego Zoo Global

Mr. Wu leads the team devoted to friend-raising and fund-raising efforts to support San Diego Zoo Global’s animal care, conservation, and education programs. He also serves as President of The Foundation of San Diego Zoo Global, a separate nonprofit organization devoted to raising major gifts to address the institution’s strategic priorities.
