As Director of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Ms. Peterson is responsible for the overall operation of this 1,800-acre wildlife preserve located near Escondido. She oversees the administration of all departments and operations, construction and maintenance, animal services, veterinary services, horticulture, and special events.
Allison Alberts, Ph.D.
Chief Conservation and Research Officer, San Diego Zoo Global
Dr. Alberts serves as Chief Conservation and Research Officer at San Diego Zoo Global. In this role, she is responsible for conservation science activities at the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research and field sites worldwide. She has participated in conservation programs for endangered iguanas in Costa Rica, Cuba, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Fiji, as well as working with sea turtles, desert tortoises, and native California lizards and frogs. Her work has focused on the development of innovative techniques for restoring critically endangered species to the wild. Dr. Alberts is an adjunct faculty member at San Diego State University and has authored more than 120 articles and 3 books. Her work has been recognized by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Science Foundation, American Association of Museums, and Association of Zoos and Aquariums. She is co-founder of the IUCN Iguana Specialist Group and past president of the International Iguana Foundation, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund.

Nadine Lamberski, DVM, DACZM, DECZM (ZHM)

Dr. Lamberski serves San Diego Zoo Global as Chief Animal Health Officer, overseeing the departments of Veterinary Services and Nutritional Services for both the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. In her role, Dr. Lamberski supervises a staff of veterinarians, nutritionists, technicians, and hospital keepers seeing to the health and well being of over 7,000 animals.

In her role, she manages a staff of over 18 employees who fulfill employment needs for San Diego Zoo Global, develop benefits packages for its nearly 3,000 employees, and handle organizational and strategic challenges that occur in a large, diverse workplace.
