Infrastructure Costs Recovery Policy

The Board of Trustees of San Diego Zoo Global (“SDZG”) approved an Infrastructure Costs Recovery Policy (“Policy”) effective January 1, 2019. The purpose of this Policy is to establish the Infrastructure Costs Recovery (“Infrastructure Recovery”) that SDZG will assess on charitable contributions received. The Infrastructure Costs Recovery by SDZG are designated explicitly to expand SDZG’s fundraising and friend-raising efforts.

SDZG has considered the prudence of assessing Infrastructure Recovery Costs on new gifts received, and has determined that the Infrastructure Costs Recovery will be five percent (5%).

SDZG is committed to administering funds in compliance with all relevant by-laws, organizational concerns, industry standards, and federal and state laws and regulations. No policy will supersede any provision of federal or state law or regulation.
