In following the guidance set forth from the Governor’s Office, the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park are temporarily closed.
We continue to have essential and dedicated staff on grounds at both parks, ensuring that the wildlife in our care continue to thrive. The urgent nature of our work to save species is unchanged, even in the face of this pandemic. Species will continue to disappear from the planet at an accelerated rate if we do not remain steadfast in fulfilling our mission. We keep at the forefront of our thoughts the well-being of these dedicated employees and the many volunteers who make our parks such special places to visit. We look forward to the day we get to welcome our guests back.
Future reservations available! Please check the reservation links below to reserve.
Important Note: Due to the current state of California’s stay-at-home order, our parks are temporarily closed and reservation availability may differ from our actual re-open date. We recommend you check our website for reopen updates prior to your visit. Reservations made on dates where we remain closed, due to the order, will be canceled. No further action is required on your part. Thank you!
Due to COVID-19, in order to keep our community safe during this time and in anticipation of high demand, the San Diego Zoo has implemented a reservation system required for entry.
