Klipspringer

Klipspringer

klipspringer

In Afrikaans, the word klipspringer means rock jumper, and these agile African antelope certainly live up to their name. Standing less than two feet tall at the shoulder, they can jump 10 to 15 feet straight up in the air without breaking a sweat—and their specially adapted, hold-tight hooves allow them to scamper among the rocks without breaking anything else!
