Join us for Summer Camp at the San Diego Zoo! In week-long, full-day camps—from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.— campers enjoy wildlife experiences, exclusive habitat visits, talks with wildlife care specialists and other Zoo staff, art projects, hands-on learning activities, crafts, and games.
Participants will receive a Summer Camp T-shirt. Campers will need to bring their own lunch, snack, and sunscreen—and wear comfortable shoes for long walks (no flip-flops), clothes that can get dirty, and a hat.
Choose from two different first grade-level Classic Camp programs:
Fur, Feathers, Shells, and Scales!
Wildlife have cool and sometimes wacky adaptations to survive and thrive. Learn about furry, feathered, shelled, and scaly friends, and what makes them special! Dates: June 10–14, June 24–28, July 15–19, or July 29–August 2.
Where the Wild Things Live
Burrows, dens, nests, and dreys—believe it or not, all are places that wildlife call “home.” Get ready to explore the wild world of animal homes and habitats! Dates: June 17–21, July 8–12, July 22–26, or August 5–9.
Facial coverings may be required.
The health and safety of our campers and staff is our highest priority. The San Diego Zoo adheres to San Diego County, State of California Social Services Department, the Department of Public Health, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for summer camps and child care facilities. Please be advised we may make modifications to our existing camp program to be alignment with these guidelines.
