Join us for Summer Camp at the San Diego Zoo! In week-long, full-day camps—from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.— campers enjoy wildlife experiences, exclusive habitat visits, talks with wildlife care specialists and other Zoo staff, art projects, hands-on learning activities, crafts, and games.
Participants will receive a Summer Camp T-shirt. Campers will need to bring their own lunch, snack, and sunscreen—and wear comfortable shoes for long walks (no flip-flops), clothes that can get dirty, and a hat.
Choose from two different second grade-level Classic Camp programs:
Hangin’ with Wildlife
Spectacular sticky feet, peculiar prehensile tails, and surprisingly strong toes help different species of wildlife hang out in their favorite places. Learn about wildlife who enjoy a view from above! Dates: June 10–14, June 24–28, July 15–19, or July 29–August 2.
Groovin’ with the Ground Dwellers
Some wildlife species live a life down on the ground—or under it. Explore the Zoo in search of animals—of all sizes—who prefer to stay close to the surface! Dates: June 17–21, July 8–12, July 22–26, or August 5–9.
Facial coverings may be required.
The health and safety of our campers and staff is our highest priority. The San Diego Zoo adheres to San Diego County, State of California Social Services Department, the Department of Public Health, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for summer camps and child care facilities. Please be advised we may make modifications to our existing camp program to be alignment with these guidelines.
