San Diego Zoo Animals In Action Program Advisements
The San Diego Zoo is located at 2920 Zoo Drive, San Diego, CA 92101.
Check-in: 10 minutes prior to program start at the Animals In Action entrance gate (center of Urban Jungle).
Minimum Age:
Age 5. No exceptions.
Maximum of 2 children per adult; ages 5 and older.
Ages 5 to 15 must be accompanied by a paid adult.
A separate admission ticket or membership is required for Zoo entry.
Change/Cancellation:
Reservations may be changed up to 3 days before the program with no change fee. Less than 3 days, changes not permitted.
Cancellations received 3 days before the scheduled program are subject to a $25 Cancellation Fee. Less than 3 days, payment is non-refundable.
Activity/Walking Level: Moderate Some walking is required during the tour.
The San Diego Zoo reserves the right to cancel or reroute a tour due to inclement weather, animal health, insufficient enrollment and/or safety concerns. In the event of cancellation, efforts will be made to reschedule you on another Animals in Action experience.
For the safety of our animals and the comfort of our guests, outside food and beverages, selfie sticks, and tripods (except tripods used as monopods) are not permitted in wildlife habitat areas. Drinking water in closed-lid containers is recommended.
To ensure the safety of our Animal Ambassadors and guests, service animals are not permitted in this program.
Because our animals and the habitats they occupy are constantly evolving, the photos shown on our website are intended as examples only. Wildlife viewing is subject to availability, and the specific animals or habitats encountered during a tour cannot be guaranteed. Final decisions regarding viewing opportunities rest with the tour guide to ensure the best possible guest experience and animal welfare.
