Wildlife Adventure Bus Tour Program Advisements
The San Diego Zoo is located at 2920 Zoo Drive, San Diego, CA 92101.
Start Time: Varies.
Check-in: 15 minutes prior to departure outside the San Diego Zoo at the Flag Pole on the Admissions Plaza. If you have been inside the Zoo earlier in the day, you must exit and have your hand stamped for re-entry before meeting your guide at the Flag Pole.
Allow sufficient time for travel to the Zoo, parking, and to find check-in location. Traffic along Park Blvd can be significant, especially on weekends and holiday periods. To help expedite access to the parking lot, we suggest entering the San Diego Zoo's parking lot from Zoo Dr., not Zoo Pl. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your tour time.
Minimum Age: All ages.
A separate admission ticket or membership is required for Zoo entry.
This bus tour is designed for private groups. Your group must meet the minimum requirement of 25 paid participants.
Some walking is required, including stepping up and down the bus stairs.
A limited number of wheelchairs can be accommodated. If anyone in your party requires the use of a wheelchair during the tour and is unable to transfer, please call 619-718-3000 so mobility considerations can be reviewed.
Change/Cancellation:
Reservations may be changed up to 3 days before the program with no change fee. Less than 3 days, changes are not permitted.
Cancellations received 3 days before the scheduled program are subject to a $25 Cancellation Fee. Less than 3 days, payment is non-refundable.
The Wildlife Adventure Bus Tour is an all-weather event and operates rain or shine. The San Diego Zoo reserves the right to cancel or reroute a tour due to inclement weather, animal health, and/or safety concerns. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, every effort will be made to reschedule you on another experience.
For the safety of our animals and the comfort of our guests, outside food and beverages, selfie sticks, and tripods (except tripods used as monopods) are not permitted in wildlife habitats. Drinking water in closed-lid containers is recommended.
For the health and safety of wildlife, service animals are not permitted in some areas due to the sensitive nature of these animals and the restricted access of these habitats and buildings.
Because our animals and the habitats they occupy are constantly evolving, the photos shown on our website are intended as examples only. Wildlife viewing is subject to availability, and the specific animals or habitats encountered during a tour cannot be guaranteed. Final decisions regarding viewing opportunities rest with the tour guide to ensure the best possible guest experience and animal welfare.
Feeding and/or touching wildlife is not offered or permitted. Tours routes are subject to change based on wildlife care needs and other factors.
