Wear comfortable shoes; some tours require walking. Children younger than age 15 must be accompanied by a paid adult; maximum 2 children per paid adult. All tour participants require a ticket, regardless of age.
If anyone in your party is unable to transfer or requires the use of a wheelchair or other mobility device during the tour, please call 619-718-3000 to book your experience. This allows us to promptly verify the availability of an accessible cart and space for the mobility device. Wildlife viewing is subject to change based on availability.Change/Cancellations: Reservations may be changed up to 3 days before the program. Changes made 3 days or less prior to the program are not permitted. Cancellations received more than 3 days before the scheduled program are subject to a $25 Cancellation Fee. Cancellations made 3 days or less prior to the program, payment is non-refundable.
Enjoy a wildly themed 2-hour experience that goes beyond simple viewing. Engage with captivating stories and meaningful moments that take you deeper into the Zoo’s mission. Led by a knowledgeable Zoo Educator, you’ll travel in a deluxe cart to explore multiple wildlife habitats, step off for a closer look, and discover how the Zoo cares for species and protects their wild counterparts.

Journey to Asia (all ages) - Explore the incredible wildlife of Asia, including a special visit to the Zoo’s giant panda habitat. Discover how we care for these species and partner with conservation organizations to protect habitats around the world.
Paws & Claws (all ages) - Focus on the Zoo’s cat and bear species. Learn about big cats, bears, and how we partner with conservation groups in their native ranges.
Crazy About Cats (ages 5 & up) - A more cat-centric adventure. Travel by cart and on foot for an opportunity to meet one cat up close. Hear how we care for cats of all sizes and support cat conservation globally.
