Wear comfortable shoes; tours require walking to visit exclusive areas. Children younger than age 15 must be accompanied by a paid adult; maximum 2 children per paid adult. All tour participants require a ticket, regardless of age.
If anyone in your party is unable to transfer or requires the use of a wheelchair or other mobility device during the tour, please call 619-718-3000 to book your experience. This allows us to promptly verify the availability of an accessible cart and space for the mobility device.
The Inside Look Tour is a 90-minute experience that offers a deeper understanding of wildlife care at the San Diego Zoo and our efforts to protect species worldwide. A knowledgeable Zoo Educator will lead your group to specially selected areas throughout the Zoo. Along the way, you’ll step off the cart to visit two wildlife habitats up close, including spaces not typically accessible to the public.
This experience includes:
- Traveling by cart with a knowledgeable Zoo Educator
- Walking to explore two wildlife habitats not typically accessible to the public
- Insider stories about the Zoo, wildlife, and global conservation efforts
