In Afrikaans, the word klipspringer means rock jumper, and these agile African antelope certainly live up to their name. Standing less than 2 feet tall at the shoulder, they can jump 10 to 15 feet straight up in the air without breaking a sweat—and their specially adapted, hold-tight hooves allow them to scamper among the rocks without breaking anything else!
