All schools in San Diego County only should fill out the form below to request their field trip dates to the San Diego Zoo.

To be eligible for field trip rates for San Diego County schools, schools must reside in San Diego County and are able to abide by SDZWA Education Program policies.

Maximum group size is 150 participants (students + adults) per group, per reservation, is allowed

- If your group is larger than 150 people, additional guests will pay full price admission.

Additional Information

Lunch storage is available at the Zoo in Wildlife Explorer Basecamp. Directions and passcodes will be located in the confirmation email you will receive 2 weeks prior to your visit. Passcodes should not be shared with anyone outside of your group. No coolers/food storage containers larger than a 6-pack size are permitted on grounds.

Private Guided Bus Tour

Tours available Monday-Friday. Each bus accommodates up to 94 people and costs $350 per bus. Join us for a private narrated, round-trip 35-minute adventure through Zoo grounds on a double-decker bus—and find out more about how we're saving species worldwide, and what you can do as an ally for wildlife. Limited departures available at this special rate reserved for school-affiliated groups. Must reserve one month in advance. Cancellation fee applies.

Individual Guided Bus Tour tickets are available for purchase upon arrival for $12 per person, subject to availability. Please be advised you will be mixed with the general public.

4-D Theater Tickets

See 3-D movies with amazing special effects to add another dimension to your cinematic experience. 4-D Theater tickets are $4 per person when purchased in advance; same-day tickets are $8 per person.
