HalGLOWeen—the world-famous San Diego Zoo’s light-up-the-night, Halloween-themed extravaganza—is back! This year’s glowing celebration of color has been expanded to five weekends in October—Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. So, get ready to enjoy some safe, family fun at this glittering and glimmering annual spectacular full of entertainment and interactive festivities. Ages 11 and younger enter free.

FRONT STREET

Halloween hits will fill the night air—and they'll have your bones up and moving—when this talented quintet gets the Front Street Stage rockin' to their groovy, ghouly sounds.

Boo Crew Scarecrow

Along Front Street, guests will get to meet and greet our mischievous scarecrow stilt-walkers during their evening of fun.

The Reptile House takes on a new look after dark, as guests get to see some of the Zoo’s reptiles in a whole new light.

  • Centennial Plaza – Near Wegeforth Bowl

Centennial Plaza will come alive with physical activities for youths as the popular Boolahoops returns to the area. They’ll enjoy interactive family fun, hoop contests, and games every evening during the event. All of the hosted HalGLOWeen fun will get young people of all ages hoopin’, jumpin’, and twirlin’ to all the upbeat Halloween hits!

WILDLIFE EXPLORERS BASECAMP

Our education and wildlife care teams will introduce some animal friends with a "spooky" reputation—sharing how these creatures are important to the environment, and are not really scary at all.

Hanging high above Wildlife Explorers Basecamp, our talented, acrobatic spider performer shows off their skills, bringing an arachnid glow to the area for HalGLOWeen.

Squash, Gourdon, and Alicia, our animated, neon pumpkin singing group, will keep you laughing and singing along to their HalGLOWeen-themed songs.

OUTBACK

Glow-in-the-dark acrobats

Spooky Revue

Join our host, Mr. Scare D. Cat, as he features a kooky variety of acts in this glowing and acrobatic variety show.

At the Boardwalk, guests will get to meet and greet Dr. Harry & Friends, all dressed in their Halloween finest, and ready to trick or treat!

Dance the night away, as our DJ plays the Halloween hits, and everyone helps count down to the release of billions of bubbles several times every hour.

    For all ages. Wear comfortable shoes. Some standing and walking required. Maximum of two children per adult; children 15 years old and younger must be accompanied by a paid adult. All tour participants require a ticket, regardless of age.
