Join us for Summer Camp at the San Diego Zoo! In week-long, full-day camps—from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.— campers enjoy wildlife experiences, exclusive habitat visits, talks with wildlife care specialists and other Zoo staff, art projects, hands-on learning activities, crafts, and games.
Participants will receive a Summer Camp T-shirt. Campers will need to bring their own lunch, snack, and sunscreen—and wear comfortable shoes for long walks (no flip-flops), clothes that can get dirty, and a hat.
Choose from two different fourth grade-level Classic Camp programs:
Creature Features, Form, and Function
Did you know that some wildlife species have tongues that grasp, noses with amazing suction power, and tiny horns? Explore the world of adaptations—what they are, and how they help animals survive in their native habitats! Dates: June 10–14, June 24–28, July 15–19, or July 29–August 2.
Wildlife Explorers
Learn what it takes to be a globetrotting wildlife biologist, traveling from North America’s Southwest to the African savanna. From tracking the movement of animals to understanding and observing behavior, you’ll discover the valuable roles that wildlife play within their ecosystems! Dates: June 17–21, July 8–12, July 22–26, or August 5–9.
Facial coverings may be required.
The health and safety of our campers and staff is our highest priority. The San Diego Zoo adheres to San Diego County, State of California Social Services Department, the Department of Public Health, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for summer camps and child care facilities. Please be advised we may make modifications to our existing camp program to be alignment with these guidelines.
