Animal Art Explorers Camp Third to Fourth Grade - SOLD OUT!

    Grades 3–4: For campers entering Grade 3 or 4 in fall 2024.

  • Join us for Animal Art Explorers: Art Camp at the San Diego Zoo! In his new full-day camp designed for students entering Grade 3 or 4 in the fall, campers will enjoy wildlife experiences, exclusive habitat visits, talks with wildlife care specialists and other Zoo staff, art projects, hands-on learning activities, crafts, and games. Artists will create projects inspired by wildlife, in a variety of media. All art supplies are provided.

    Choose from two different Animal Art Explorers camp programs:

    Nature’s Tapestry
    NEW PROGRAMMING
    From one ecosystem to the next, the wildlife around us is interconnected. Artists will challenge their creative senses to identify and represent these connections through wildlife and art! The Zoo provides all art supplies. Dates: June 10–14, June 24–28 , July 15–19, or July 29–August 2. 

     

    Foraging with Natural Art
    NEW PROGRAMMING
    Calling all acacia aficionados—foraging can be for food and for fun! In this camp, artists will explore and create with natural materials found in their own backyard and on Zoo grounds. The Zoo provides all art supplies. Dates: June 17–21, July 8–12, July 22–26, or August 5–9. 

     

    Facial coverings may be required.

     

    The health and safety of our campers and staff is our highest priority. The San Diego Zoo adheres to San Diego County, State of California Social Services Department, the Department of Public Health, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for summer camps and child care facilities. Please be advised we may make modifications to our existing camp program to be alignment with these guidelines.
