Join us for Summer Camp at the San Diego Zoo! In weeklong, full-day camps (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.), campers enjoy wildlife experiences, exclusive habitat visits, talks with wildlife care specialists and other Zoo team members, art projects, hands-on learning activities, crafts, and games.
Participants will receive a Summer Camp T-shirt. Campers will need to bring their own lunch, snack, and sunscreen, and wear comfortable shoes for long walks (no flip-flops), clothes that can get dirty, and a hat.
Choose from two different third grade-level Classic Camp programs:
Nature’s Secret Superheroes
Unique wildlife species have some of the strangest and most unusual ways to save the day. Learn about
the secret wildlife superheroes! Dates: June 9–13, June 16–20, June 23–27, or July 7–11.
Wildlife Outliers
After meeting wildlife species with notorious reputations, campers are sure to find a soft spot in their
hearts for those that are sometimes misunderstood. Sometimes the lesser-known and less popular ones
turn out to be the coolest! Dates: July 14–18, July 21–25, July 28–August 1, or August 4–8.
The health and safety of our campers and team members is our highest priority. The San Diego Zoo adheres to San Diego County, California Department of Social Services, California Department of Public Health, and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for summer camps and childcare facilities. Please be advised we may make modifications to our existing camp program to be in alignment with these guidelines.
