San Diego Zoo Discovery Cart Tour Program Advisements
The San Diego Zoo is located at 2920 Zoo Drive, San Diego, CA 92101.
Check-in: Check-in: 10 minutes prior to your tour's departure. After entering through the main entrance turnstiles, immediately turn left and meet your guide at the podium near the Joan Embery Front Street Stage.
Minimum Age:
All ages welcome.
Ages 0 – 2 are free and do not require a ticket; however, they must sit on adult lap. Limit one lap child per adult.
Limit of 2 children ages 3+ per adult per group.
Strollers and child car seats are not permitted on the cart.
Children 15 years old and younger must be accompanied by a paid adult.
A separate admission ticket or membership is required for Zoo entry.
Activity/Walking Level: Moderate
If anyone in your party requires the use of a wheelchair during the tour and is unable to transfer, after booking please call 619-718-3000 so we can request a wheelchair accessible cart.
Change/Cancellation:
Reservations may be changed up to 3 days before the program with no change fee. Less than 3 days, changes not permitted.
Cancellations received 3 days before the scheduled program are subject to a $25 Cancellation Fee. Less than 3 days, payment is non-refundable.
Discovery Cart Tours are an all-weather event. The San Diego Zoo reserves the right to cancel or modify experiences due to inclement weather, animal health and/or safety concerns. In the event of cancellation, efforts will be made to reschedule your Discovery Cart Tour.
For the safety of our animals and the comfort of our guests, outside food and beverages, selfie sticks, and tripods (except tripods used as monopods) are not permitted in wildlife habitat areas. Drinking water in closed-lid containers is recommended.
