Enjoy a virtual visit to the San Diego Zoo with one of our world-famous wildlife ambassadors and a San Diego Zoo wildlife expert!
Our new Virtual Education Programs take place online only, via Zoom. They are designed for school groups, grades K–12; youth groups, such as scouts, YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs, etc.; or adult learner groups, such as Road Scholars/Elderhostel or specialized residential homes. Corporate groups and those planning private events such as birthday parties should contact the Event Sales team at events@sdzwa.org for more information about programs.
A device with internet access, and a webcam and microphone are required for this program. Teachers/education group leaders will work with the Education department reservation team to secure a confirmation email, and set up a link and instructions to access the online program on their designated date and time. Groups of various sizes can be accommodated, but for the best and most interactive experience, we strongly encourage groups to limit their audience size to 33 or fewer people. We can accommodate up to 4 classes (128 people) per program.
To book one of these programs, contact the Education Reservation Team at 619-557-3963 or email EducationZoo@sdzwa.org.
San Diego County K-12 public and charter school teachers can apply for program funding, provided by ArtsBusXpress, a nonprofit organization that connects students with arts and science opportunities. Please apply at artsbusxpress.org ArtsBusXpress will notify both of us if you are approved, and we'll be in touch to personalize the session for your class and secure a specific time.
