Wear comfortable shoes; this tour is all walking and guests will encounter hills and steep inclines while visiting several exclusive areas. Children younger than age 15 must be accompanied by a paid adult; maximum 2 children per paid adult. All tour participants require a ticket, regardless of age.
Start your morning with a guided walk through the treetops and into the forest where you’ll enjoy early access to the Denny Sanford Panda Ridge habitat before it opens to the public. On this 60-minute experience, you’ll have extended, peaceful viewing opportunities of the giant pandas and other wildlife, free from the usual crowds.
Your Educator will share fascinating stories about the Zoo’s long-standing connection to giant pandas. You’ll gain deeper insights into the behavior of this iconic species, daily care, and collaborative efforts between the San Diego Zoo our partners that protect them and their native forest habitat.
This 5 year and up walking tour experience includes:
- A guided walk through scenic pathways with a knowledgeable Zoo Educator
- Access to Panda Ridge before it opens to the public
- An opportunity to observe giant pandas without the line
- Engaging insights about panda care, behavior, and conservation efforts
