Celebrate good fortune this Lunar New Year, a holiday recognized throughout many East and Southeast Asian countries. 2022 is the Year of the Tiger—known for being brave, courageous, and generous.

Lunar New Year Wishes and Good Luck

Share your wish for wildlife and hang it on our wall of 1,000 conservation wishes.

Create your own customary paper cutting, a celebrated tradition for Lunar New Year. Kids can create their own unique lantern design by following step-by-step instructions. You’ll also be able to take home your own red envelope with a special keepsake and good fortune to celebrate the Year of the Tiger.

Learn about tigers and other iconic species—including the red panda, snow leopard, and takin—with exclusive opportunities to meet with wildlife care specialists and the wildlife you love.

Discovery Cart Tours

Enjoy a 60-minute tour of the Zoo with one of our expert guides. This intimate experience gives you and your family a behind-the-scenes look at your favorite animals. Space is limited, so make your reservation ahead of time.
